What is The Marsden?
The Marsden is a Building Society that has been supporting their members with savings and mortgages since 1860, sharing a mutual goal to help create those special moments in life.
They approached the agency I was working with at the time to revamp and improve upon their existing web presence, while utilising their brand guidelines and adhering to industry legislation/publication guidelines.
What did the project involve?
This project was a full responsive build for desktop and mobile devices, following a bespoke design process. A scope existed pre-project, but was very vague and needed a lot of clarification to avoid friction arising during the later stages; managing expectations was key to the project’s success.
Regularly reporting to an external client committee was both challenging and rewarding. The project was intensive, with weekly client update calls/meetings; mediating between our in house development/design teams and the external product owner was key to its success.
From a development perspective there were many unique aspects of this project, which required a good mix of applied technical knowledge and project management skills, to ensure smooth running delivery cycles and client understanding.
The result speaks for itself – a great modern website for a forward-thinking building society, that was a vast improvement on their previous offering, for both customer and client admin alike.
